PhotoRescue 2My worst nightmare. I'm out in the field all day with my Nikon D1H filling up Compact Flash cards with incredible, once in a lifetime images. Once home, I eagerly download the images to my computer or laptop. Horror of horrors, the images on one of the cards is corrupt. I've lost my images! My stomach churns. My heart skips a beat. I'm sick. That was until PhotoRescue came along. Download and try PhotoRescue Version 2 : PC Version & Mac Version today! PhotoRescue by DataRescue, a major European supplier of high-tech software technology, is an indispensable software program for anyone who shoots with any digital camera. It will recover corrupt or accidentally deleted pictures from any Compact Flash, SmartMedia or Memory Stick. At $39, this program is a lifesaver and a must have for your software library. This program is optimized to work with jpeg, tiff and other typical file formats. PhotoRescue does not attempt to write to the card, it merely scans the card and miraculously salvages the corrupted or deleted image files. It is available in both PC and Mac versions. PhotoRescue can recover or unerase data from the following image storage devices:
Some of the main features of PhotoRescue are:
Updated FeaturesThe process of finding "lost" images has been improved in PhotoRescue version 2. From what I understand, this is due to "parallelizing the recovery algorithms" which increases the speed by a factor of 10 in some cases. One of the most important updates is the support of the larger drives, including FAT 32 devices. This means my Lexar 2GB cards I use in my Nikon D2H are supported. There is plenty of support for all the new RAW and camera specific file formats and voice standards as well. Easy to UsePhotoRescue can be used with crashed or accidentally deleted files. It is a much more effective tool than either Scandisk or Norton when it comes to salvaging your card. Although some of the program's dialog is a bit technical, the defaults are set for you. PhotoRescue is an easy to use program. All you need to do is tell the program whether the crashed card has a drive letter (can be read by your flash card reader) or if it is so damaged that PhotoRescue needs to read it at the block level to recover your images. That's it! My Personal Horror StoryWhile I haven't had a card to go bad yet (knock on wood), I have pulled a stunt that was just as bad, if not worse. One day after a photographing White-tailed Deer bucks, I lined up my cards to download. Somehow the cards got out of order. In an effort to be efficient, I reformatted a card I thought I had downloaded. Upon realizing the idiotic mistake I'd just made, I immediately considered banging my head against the wall. But NO! I had PhotoRescue. Could it possibly recover my priceless images from a card I had just reformatted in my D1H??? Miracle of miracles... it did!!! I am totally sold on this indispensable product and urge you to download your free evaluation copy of PhotoRescue today! PC Version - Mac Version.
