About Us

Mission Statement

Jan Albriton AllinderIt is our hope that through our wildlife photography, writing, web site design and multi-media presentations we will instill in others a greater sense of appreciation for our natural heritage.

We encourage you and your families to photograph and observe wildlife in its natural habitat. Share your photos and your experiences outdoors with your family and friends.

An excellent way to start is by participating in the National Wildlife Federation's Backyard Wildlife Habitat program. That way you can enjoy wildlife every day in your own backyard.

"Passion is the key. I love being outdoors among wildlife. I love seeing and 'feeling' the beauty around me. There is nothing I like better than capturing what I love on film to share with others in the hope of instilling the same appreciation for wildlife and nature." Jan A. Allinder

As long as I can remember, photography has been one of my favorite pastimes. Now that my daughters are adults, I am able to pursue what I have always dreamed of doing - photographing wildlife in its natural habitat. Photography is one aspect of my life where I am able to combine my love of wildlife, appreciation of the great outdoors and artistic abilities and have a wonderful time in the process. I am very passionate about wildlife and nature photography. One of my professional goals is to help increase public awareness of the wonders of wildlife and our natural heritage through my images. I enjoy working with photographers of all skill levels. I encourage you to become more aware of the beauty in nature and challenge you to become more involved in preserving it for future generations.

Background

Leslie, Taylor, Jan & JennieI am a native of Jackson, Mississippi. I attended the University of Mississippi, "Ole Miss" where I majored in art and classical civilization. I was in the retail jewelry business for over 25 years. Albriton's Jewelry, Inc., which my grandfather founded in 1920, not only provided a means to become a professional photographer, it provided invaluable lessons in business and management.

Upon "retiring" from Albriton's, I am now able to pursue my true passions: wildlife photography & web site / graphic design. Mitch Wolvertion & I own and operate Digital Imaging Group. We provide fine art giclée printing, web site design, trade show / large format services and vehicle wraps..

I have two wonderful daughters. Leslie Hall and Jennie Evans. On February 14, 2005 Leslie & Chad had a little girl, Taylor Marie Hall, my first grandchild. On July 31, 2007 Leslie & has another little girl, Madison Leigh Hall was born

Jennie and David Alan Evans were married on February 9, 2008. Jennie and David's first date was at the Senior Prom in high school.

The main reason I took up photography was to improve my quality of life... to have a reason to rise above the everyday hum-drum, boring normalcy that life can become if we aren't careful. To remind myself that there is so much of this world sitting right next to us that we don't see. And without that awareness of the glory of nature and wildlife that surrounds us, we just exist... missing out on the passion and love of life that can carry us through.
